Friend of mine has just got his hands on a Fairlady Z :smitten:
Problem is the Sat Nav is all geared for Japan. It is the DVD ROM one with TV screen.
Does anyone know of a way / a place where this could be converted for UK use?
Cheers ;)
Is it not simply a case of inserting a UK DVD from the appropriate supplier?

Ive no idea JB
Is it that easy?
I have to say that I think its quite cool as it is talking Japanese to you :wack:
OK I don't know that precise system but the one in my VW works like this. I insert a different disk depending on whether I want French of UK maps. Not only does each disk contain the maps but it also contains voice files in English(dull female munter), French (Sexy but strickt), German (you really woudn't want to take the wrong turn with her as she sounds like she'd knife you) Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. You simply select the language you want to listen to.
Certainly worth consulting a decent SatNav specialist to find out as DVDs are only £60 or so.

It's only the maps which are wrong. If it's a dvd based system you can probably just change it as JB says. I got a GPS receiver from the US and I just needed to get uk software for it.

Anyone got screen shots of the Nissan Navigation System in action?
Or if anybody has said system, would they mind posting some nice clear pictures of each screen, and also a picture of the actual screen and surround (so I can make mine look the same)
I wanted to make a skin for RoadRunner that will emulate Nissans own effort. That way my CarPC will look factory fit.
