Shoe complaint

I bought a pair of Etnies from footlocker 3 months ago. I've just discovered that my toe has worn a hole in the top at the front of the right shoe. I always keep my toenails trimmed and the shoes aren't too tight a fit.

Should I be able to demand a refund/exchange, or is it tough luck, normal wear and tear etc...?

It's worth a go. A receipt would be useful if you still have it.
