those welds on the boost pipes.......mmm.....I'd sit those in my front room as ornaments! How sad am i?!? :cry:

But welded corners like that reduce flow, a smooth bent pipe is going to be far more less restrictive than 20 welds. Why would they invest so much on the engine and then choose this method purely for show. There must be another reason.
I am suprised no-one has used this smiley yet.....

Those pipes look nigh on rounded anyway, cant se it making much diff. The pipes coming off the IC's are bent though.

Didnt want to read the whole post so I hope this hasnt been said.
Yeager, when I was in Japan this was the thing to do, they didnt bend piping at all from what I saw. For some reason they would rather cut and weld.
