I have been hacked, just found a backdoor trojan in my operating system and I am getting constantly ping'd from some idiot on BT (I think). The worst thing is the 3 different virus checkers I have cant fix it.

Anyone know how I can get the sods back?

Posted this somewhere on here before and its not much help, but try to find somthing called "Hack Tracer". It stops people hacking your PC and i think it gives you there IP address too, so you can do all manner of things back at them.

Do a search somewhere and see if you can find it for download...

Hope it helps a little...

You need to update your antivirus program, although a trojan is not technically a virus. I use norton firewall and norton AV 2002 at home which seem to work well together to keep tw@ts out!

At work I use a mixture between Norton Corporate edition and a bloody expensive undisclosed firewall.. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif

Hope this helps!

Still looking for hack tracer, but norton located the virus/trojan and isloated it. The problem is that it is part of windows set up. Sent an e-mail to bt about it and have downloaded every possible update for my firewalls and anti virus checkers. Cheers guys.

Try Zone Alarm software firewall - usually comes top in tests and is free for personal use - www.download.com (http://www.download.com)

It's pointless trying to get back to an IP address - if you could it would probably be an innocent PC anyway. If you've got 10 mins free read http://grc.com/dos/grcdos.htm
scary stuff.

grc.com is another good resource for security type stuff.

Gibson's a bit of an alarmist - lots of nice information on the site but one of his own tools was used against him http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif

Theregister picked up on the story and found it all quite humourous

The other halfs boss is a "Back Door Trojan", I suppose it doesn't make him a bad person even though I refuse to speak to the s**t stabber!

My mate had this problem. He configured his server software (Apache) to ensure that the request was a "hit" but only return a url on the host sending the original request. So either the hacker's ISP or the hacker him/herself overloaded their own machine and the requests stopped within a week.
