View Full Version : THAT'S why I own a 200.......

Due to limited annual mileage and not going anywhere to justify using the 200 (Tesco's, poncing about etc.) I hadn't driven it for over three weeks.

Until Monday ( http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif).

Now, as you know, I've been tooling about in this Punto thing and preserving the 200 for some sunny days. The last time I drove it was a time-warp journey coming back from Plymouth( http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif).

Anyway, I fancied a drive on Monday and took the beasty out.

It was like the day I bought my first one. Like an old friend (ahhhh! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif). But the best bit? Stopping at a T-junction on an A-road and giving it the full moo from a stand.

In fact, it was so good that I pulled over and did it all again!

Call me sad if you like but, after driving something else for 3 weeks, it felt like I'd been away FAAAAR too long.

And the best bit was probably when I was filling it up at a garage; some boy-racer in a Renault 19 16v gave me the 'you've got no chance' look of derision.......these people have NO idea!

I also haven't had my car out the garage since the start of December as I have been undersealing it and doing some odd jobs while it was tucked up tight. So I have been pottering around in her Micra. As I am back to work tommorow, I thought I had better dig it out of retirement and make sure it still went, my old ticker certainly does as the gritters hadn't been out. It was to cold to wash the old girl ( - 5 ), but I still took a few dirty pics and posted them on me profile. Nowt fancy though it's kinda standard http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif

Know what your on about Ripper, Ive got the Denzil for pottering about in, but the 2***** came out on new years eve. You kinda get used to the performance of the car you drive all the time, so after being used to the denzil the 2***** felt like you hit a hill and it'd take you to the moon, kind of makes you appreciate the cars performance a bit more http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Got the 200 out of the garage today for the first time in a week now that the snow is finally melting. Popped down to the shops and came back 3 1/2 hours later having made a slight detour via the peak district and all the great driving roads there are there. Fantastic http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Probably wouldn't have done it had I gone out in the Volvo Estate thought http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif
