I'm setting up one of these for the local primary school to access the Internet (gotta start 'em young if they are going to join the SXOC). However it needs NAT to work with the particular provider, and NAT is only available with the IP PLUS feature pack, which this router doesn't have.
If any kind person out there has a O/S version 11.2/12 IP PLUS image they are willing to email me the school would be eternally grateful and I promise not to tell a soul.
Have you tried Cisco?? I know its a long shot, but HiTech companies often are generous to Schools etc. - I know we are anyway http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Yes , thats it. Its called IP PLUS by Cisco.
Cisco are absolute buggers for getting any downloads off their web site unless you pay them shedloads of money for Platinum support, dunno what they're like in person. Probably not interested in the schools market though.
Thanks greatly for looking.

Hopefully just one more question...
Is it the Type "R" version of 1600 (although this doesn't imply that its got Variable Timing blah blah, lol !!!!), it's just these's a difference apparently ( i didnt realise).
...also, have you got the 10MB required to run the new code?? You may only have 8MB?
Think there's a version with Firewalling built in as well.
Can start downloading it 2morrow when you get back to me

Hi NorthernMonkey
The R version is run-from-ram, as opposed to the standard run-from-flash , which is what the school has.
It has 4mb Flash memory / 16mb ordinary RAM,
which means the stored image has to be less than 4mb, but it has enough RAM to run pretty much any image.
There is also a firewall image (FW) as well, it would be nice but IP PLUS is all they need.
I'm just looking up the table for Cisco images compared to Flash/RAM requirements - looks like all IP PLUS images are at least 6mb (11.2) to 8mb (12.0 - preferred ) to 12mb (12.1). Ah well, the school will need to acquire a new flash memory card.
Thanx :D
