Hi guys/gals,

I would like to invite you all to the following meeting at Alton Towers at the 10th July. I confess, I only signed up to post this but I didn't even know this BBS existed. I will do my best to check all the forums as often as I can but if you want to know anything it is best to email me directly.

Thanks

Apart from Alton Towers, whats it there in relation to Cars?

What discount is there for the gate to Alton Towers?

Tell me this isnt a car park filling excercise?

The event itself is simply a meet.

I.e - a group of car owners getting together, BS'ing, comparing, making contacts and showing of your car.

The £17 ticket is for entry to the park itself (this is about half price)

A group of sponsors and press will be there on the day as well as some monster, award winning cars.

All information is on the site shown on the flyer.

You're incorrect, it's to the left of LADA!

Whether you are "sure about this one" or not, the event has attracted plenty of interest from various groups.

With a number of cars being represented it would be a shame for their not to be 200sx flag being waved but hey hum, your decision.

it seems a lot of money to pay for a big mass car park meet, will we just be outnumbered by nova/saxo/corsa boys?

I *think* 2004meet (the user) is from the Supra forums but looking on lancerregister, there was some small interest expressed:

I am from the supra forums, we have ~30 people going, the subaru impreza's drivers club has confirmed attendance, there were 2 other clubs getting an idea of numbers for me IIRC.

The £17 is your entry into the theme park - not the car park. This is about half the normal price for that time of year, how can half price be expensive if full price isn't?

We are not charging ANYTHING for the meet itself. If you don't plan on going into the park there is nothign to pay (except your car parking).

Maybe I didn't make that clear enough. Apologies if I have misled you.

I think it is also worth saying that the site has only actually been up for about 3 days, anyone wishing to run a whois on the domain will see that it was only registered then. For a site only just registered to have had 3000 hits is no small feat I don't think. If you don't wish to attend then fair enough. Do you really need to attempt to spoil it for everyone else in the process?

Anyway:

A forum has been set up at : http://2004meet.com/forum/index.php

If any of you plan to attend then feel free to make your presence known there and ask your forum/group/club leader/mod to contact me for a moderator login.

Thanks

No offence but there is VERY little information on the website to be honest, and this is why we have been asking, and what I said was in jest hence the :wack: smilie

Best of luck :D

I wasn't talking about you mate, I don't take things to heart often.

Anyway, I can't keep traversing all the forums, i have set up the forum above for anyone interested and will be answering questions there.

I'll leave your forum alone now.

Thanks
