Hello,

Finally getting alloys, so my standard wheels will be free for me to destroy at drift days. Am I right in thinking that really nasty, zero grip, ultra durable skinny Kwik-Fit type tyres would be just the job for drifting?

Cheers,

Will

Alright Will:)

Well, not exactly. A lot of people use some half decent wide rubber for extra control while in a drift. Having said that your standard size tyres will be fine to kill off while you practice.:)

Low profile is an advantage, high sidewall put a springy'ness in the return & tend to want to make you spin.

But to slide about at a practice day....anything

I'm hunting all the local tyre shops for second hand (and usually free) decent low profile tyres. My last round I used 205x45x17 Pirelli P7000's and they seemed to work perfectly. The next round I will be using 225x45x17 Michelin Pilot Sports which I got for free from my local ATS.
