Could someone recommend a credit card with a nice long introductory interest free period, or very low APR.

It's amazing the debts you amass buy being a bum for 6 months! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

I've already had the Tesco & Egg cards, just want a 3rd to use so I can pay me debt off and not pay any interest.

try www.pricerunner.co.uk (http://www.pricerunner.co.uk) and go to the finance section.

You stipulate what you want from the card and it does a search.

There are several now that have 0% lifetime transfer interest rate.

Just you try and get one though without being turned down but being offered another card, but somewhat more crap.

AMEX Blue is doing a special offer with something like 4.6% on balance transfers for as long as it takes you to pay it off.

Thanks for all the advice.

I've just looked at credit cards with my own bank (Lloyds) and they're doing a balance transfer of 1.9% for 6 months. There must be a catch, they're been useless for everything else in the past!!!

MBNA were doing low interest for 6 months, and a pic of a Ducati 996 on the card - swung it for me

The best way to pay off a loan / c.card is the following:

Buy a speed camera and set it up on a totally accident-free piece of road.

Wait a few weeks and watch the money just roll in.

Then buy another.

PS You can raise the money for this absolute winner of a fund-raiser by borrowing from a pot called 'safety'.

Doddle, really. I'm surprised no-one else has thought of it....
