Just wondering if any of you have one of the flashy programmable remotes for home cinema systems etc? Any good??
I'm looking for one as I've had enough of having to use 6 different remotes!!! Anyone know of any particluarly good deals on them at the mo?
Cheers
Get a One For All 8 from Richer Sounds, about £80 but it'll control everything. They look KEWL as feck and have a backlit LCD touch screen that changes with the unit you're using. Very trick indeed! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

I have to say my favourite so far is this beauty :

I think you can get even better ones now which you program using a PC.

I got the bargain basement 5 in 1 remote, coz if I prgrogamme it as a Awia CD remote, then type in a code and woo hoo my DVD player becomes region free!.
Looks more expensive than all my kit put together. I would be going for the 15 quid shot out of Agros or Index http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif.
Paul, that would be a samsung 709?
Ive heard that it wont let u do that more than 50 times or it locks out the EEPROM and wont play jack???

Its actually a Hitachi........but it is a rebadged 709, and I've done that more than 50 times with no probs.

To save you from changing the samsung to region free everytime you power off. Just do the change with the Aiwa remote then use you normal remote to go into settings, change any setting, save it, exit out of the screen and then go back in and change it back. By saving it, it also saves the region free setting.
Philips Pronto is the real deal.
Macro programmable, download Icons, controls more than just household appliances.
My mate has one and he's hooked up his apartment with X10. Switches lights, kettle, microwave etc on and off all from this one remote.
