Bloomin' 'Eck, Adrian Flux just quoted me £1500 for insurance!!
I told em the following details:
200SX Touring with following mods.
1. Lowered Suspension
2. 18" wheels
3. Performance Exhaust
4. Performance Induction
5. Boost Increase
6. FMIC

28 years (i know, pushing on a bit)
5+ Years Protected NCB
Living in West Drayton (Near Heathrow)

When I asked the lady why it was so much she said because of the mods! But I thought they specialised in Mods. Probably because I live in London?!?

How comes you guys are getting much cheaper quotes from them? (so I've seen on some posts).

£525 from Adrian Flux also with all mods listed below. Im 24.

Only 3rd party fire and theft though.

Also, told them that there was no bhp increase from any of the mods.

Like to see them try and prove it.

I'm with Adrian Flux, 25 years old and premium cost £699.

All mods declared:

1) SS exhaust
2) Induction Filter
3) Front Strut Bar

I'll have to tell them about the boost controller soon but I doubt it'll be anywhere near your quote.

Shop around. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

What exactly did you tell them about your mods?

Did they ask about each non-standard part fitted or a percentage power increase?

I guess they could never tell the ECU was upgraded?

I need to tell them about my boost upgrade in the next few weeks but I'm scared! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Have declared all mods with Adrian Flux, incase I make a claim and get screwed for fraud.

If you are insured with AF, you have probably got a specialist vehicle insurance, in that case, they supply you with a form on which you list all modifications.

Have decalred Unichip too, forgot about is earlier.....

AF will replace like for like, so if you don't declare it and the car gets nicked/written off etc, you won't get it replaced. They will also turn around and leave you high and dry without insurance and in court. Not nice...
