After my engine rebuild i will be running a GT2530 or maybe 2540, i am aiming for 320bhp or 350 depending on turbo.

Would your stage 3 chip be ok to run it with? Or would you recommend a custom map? If so, how much would it be for a custom map?

Also do you sell z32 AFM's and 444's separately? If so how much?

Cheers.

The stage 3 kit would work quite well but depending on what other mod you do to the engine, a custom remap would be best.

I don't sell the Z32 AFMs or 444cc injectors separately - just with my stage 3 (or custom) chips :)

so, how much would you charge for a custom map?

the thing is i have the problem of not being able to drive the car over to you once it has all the mods, as i only have your stage 1 chip at the moment... Could we do something like; i buy a stage 3 kit, and use the chip to drive over to yours to get a custom map, then give you back the stage 3 chip and discount it against the price of the custom map? :)

The way it works is that you buy a stage 3 chip and then if you want to have it mapped to your car its charged at an additional rate of £35 per hour. I can give you a discount of £50 if you want to trade in your stage 1 chip.

Hope that makes sense :)

ok :)

What if i wanted to source the z32 afm and 444's on my own?

I was thinking i could just turn my boost right down - as id be running it in anyway, use my stage 1 chip to get it over to you, and then have it custom mapped for £35 an hour? Would that be ok?

You can source the Z32 AFM and 444cc injectors if you like.

The cost is always the price of the closest chip + £35 per hour for any changes you'd like.

It'd be best for you to fit the stage 3 chip, Z32 AFM and injectors yourself and then come over for any mapping you require.

approx how long would you expect it to take to map for 550's, GT28RS@20psi?

Jez

Not sure - a few (3-5) hours.

thread ressurection... Do you think i would see any benefits from using a system such as a PowerFC or something similar to map the car, over just remapping the standard ECU?

I noticed when i saw your car at the RR Day, that it had quite a lot of extra electronicy bits connected to your ECU...

The main difference between a PFC and a standard ECU is the kit you need to do it.

With the stock ECU you need "quite a lot of extra electronicy bits" ;) - PFC you need the software, lead and laptop or a commander.

right, after much deliberating I should have my car up to spec on monday as long as all goes well (touch wood).

Then I am on holiday from the 15th-30th Aug. However I would like my car mapped for 1.5bar on the GT28RS and 550's. Heres the harsh bit - before trax on the 4th :)

Possible?

Hi mate

I've just got back from hols :)

I should be able to get your car sorted - trouble is, at the moment my wideband lambda sensor is somewhere in the hedge of the A34... waiting for a replacement, should be here soon :)

When are you free between 30th Aug and trax? Please email me :)

Well, I'm not sure what time I will be back on the 30th, so best rule out that day. So anytime between wednesday 31st and sat 3rd. I can do any of those days as I'm jobless at the moment :D I can fit in whenever is convenient for you...

CC: Email.

Just reading some stuff on the forum, I noticed you said you have 're-scale the rpm points' to get more accurate fuelling/ignition at higher rpms. Is this what you will be doing when mapping my car?

can do if you like - although theres not much point unless you plan to rev a lot over 7000rpm

liquidsmoke

Hmmm... I don't know if I will gain anything by revving higher with my turbo.

Heres a graph of it running 1.08bar at that RR day we went to:

I don't know what it will look like when running 1.4/1.5bar though...?

You probably wont gain that much to be honest. I wouldn't (and don't) go over 7500rpm - not really worth it.

My car *should* be ready some time in the next couple of weeks. Would you be able to send me a rough chip for 550's to enable me to limp over to yours for mapping?

Yeah, sure - drop me an email and we can sort it out :)
