i pulled upto the wrong pump at a petrol station today because i could not be bothered to wait for the lrp pump

i filled the dolly up with 97 ron esso SUL

i have noticed that it does seem to be running ALOT better than on that lrp shit

why would it make my dolly run better ? maybe my car is more happy on SUL ?

what RON was 4 star back in the day?

Isn't the problem with running older cars on unleaded the fact that it burns to hot for the valves?

Dolomite .....should be fine on unleaded.


but ive been using lrp anyways... and i really think the unleaded is better for it !

i put some real deal proper bo 4 star in it....and it seem to drink it like a fish and felt slower :confused:

Thats what the bloke @ the local Texaco told me when i complained about him not doing SUL.

Nt sure if thats the most reliable source though..... especially as he recommened i fill the 200 up with lrp.... :indiff:

yeah you are alright running unleaded on your motor a few times deathstar.

all the lead did was lube the upper valve stems but the metal retains a 'lead memory' that will last about 8 to 10k miles... then....

the valve stems will be well w@nkered :eek: ... mix and match the stuff... 1 tank of pretend leaded to 2 to 3 tanks of unleaded... don't forget your timing though!! :thumbs:

2* was about 95-96 ron
4* was about 98 ron
and the daddy

5* 101+ ron oh yes

No worries, i only put in £5 of normall cause they didnt have SUL, then complained :D

i walked out in disgust after he told me that! s'posse it wouldnt have mattered to much as i have a mongoose, but didnt know that :annoyed:
