Sniff, http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/frown.gif dropped me car off this morning for it's respray, black with flames on the bonnet and wings, and a naked lady airbrushed on the back. and have gone to pick up a hire car while it's done. all they had that had more power than a lame donkey was a mondeo LX 16v with coat hooks, pen holders and a coin holder, the pre-sets buttons on the radio are the size of pound coins (proves my theory that reps are blind).
and a hole in the dash that I havent quite worked out what its for yet. and the suspension makes me sea sick. and people look at you funny. am I to be an out cast? is there a mondeo BB anywhere? If I start to wear a suit shoot me.

P.S you have had a drink or two possibly?
£900 is about right if it doesnt need much straightening out. Its nice and cheap if it includes insides of panels though. You can get an impeccable full dip up this end for £500 aslong as it isnt a total mess or a colour change.

So, anyone raced one of those smug-faced drivers in an ST24?

I had a Y reg new mondeo 2.0 a while back. Got it with 250 miles on the clock 10 days later it had 2500 miles and (with a little help from the rev limiter) had loosened up a treat!
Superb drive though - handled like a big focus. Superb driving position too - the drivers seat moved in so many directions/planes, what with the reach/rake steering wheel, I was sitting exactly the same as in my 200 - only about 8 inches higher off the ground!
Matt
I've heard they're supposed to be 'nice' but I like 'nutter fast' better!
I asked because I always see 'Area Manager and don't I know it' smuggo's in Vectras and ST24s looking all hard on the traffic lights but THEY AIN'T QUICK ENOUGH!
I've only had a go at one Vectra off lights and he didn't make it http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif. I don't think he enjoyed his front wheels bouncing up and down while mine just pointed where the car was supposed to go (ha, ha).
I had a knob in an ST24 put his foot down on the M5 South of Bristol a few days back after I'd eased by at 90.
He was glued to the middle lane when I went by (he was overtaking nothing, of course) and he made his move after I'd done the 1st-3rd-1st lane manoeuver.
I caught him at 110 (this was at about 11pm, may I add) and then kept on going.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
I thought they were supposed to go?!
Typical rep. mentality - I've got a new car therefore it must be faster. My L-reg showed him the way. Like most idiots on the road he was probably trying to work out what it was (that's one reason I love the 200 - nobody seems to know what it is).
Bet he thought it was an MR2.......
