Get somthing called "Hack Tracer". Ive no idea where to get it from, but a search should yeild results. This basicaly stops anyone gaining acces to your PC...

You'd be surprised how often people try...

Hope this helps

Paz

I am using zone alarm pro at the mo and a dummy proxy, but this does not seem to help. I will try looking for that "Hack Tracer", cheers pazzaep82!

Data from Whois is as follows so if they are annoying you send a message to abuse@bt.net quoting the IP address and copy out a section of your zone alarm log showing the attempts on your PC.

... or we could have some fun http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Lets see.. with the joint bandwidth we got on this board, I recon we could ping the b@stards to death! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

I use Norton Firewall. I know its a 'norton' product, but I've been really impressed. If someone tries to access your machine with a trojan or anything else, it just ignores their Ip address for 30mins. I have not had any problems, even though my machine is on 24/7 on an NTL cable modem. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Hope this helps. (I'm up for some large ping packets if everyone else is.. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif )

Cheers guys, will send an e-mail to abuse@bt with the log from zone alarm.

Just out of curiosity is it possible to run telnet and select a port of this persons machine?

Sure- the generic crap telnet port on win98/win2k/winnt lets you put a port num,ber after the hostname.
