View Full Version : Please help me my address bar has gone!!!!

ive lost my address bar completely and i dont know how to get it back this happened about 3 days ago and i done a system restore and it returned but now its gone again!!!

lucky for me i have the sxoc on me favourites.

Its still there. Click and hold Address and drag it down :thumbs:

Goto view in the top tabs, then toolbars.
Inside that you should find an option for address bar :thumbs:

click 'view' then 'toolbars' and then click on each item that doesn't have a tick next to it. Bit by bit it should all come back

one you've got it sorted you may want to 'lock the toolbar' to stop you moving it again :p

ok now it looks a little better but still no addy bar

ok none of u are getting this:

ITS IN GREY AND IT CANT BE MOVED!!!

ive tried for a lil while now and it wont move!

Sounds like you already locked it then, maybe inadvertantly :nod:

have you locked the tool bar then?

right click a blank part and untick "lock the tool bar"

What happens if you click on the little chevrons to the left of the address bit?
(just inside the top left of the magnifying glass)

try this its faster than i.e but you have to load plug ins seperately, i.e java this stops annoying pop ups and music ,it is fast as feck http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

am backing up all my files that i done in the last 4 days then im gonna do a system restore to see if that fixes it wish me luck

you could have a virus, that happend to me but that was with windows ME

im thinking thats what ive got but u see i have 2-3 weeks of college left and i need to get it done and with half of my stuff on the computer i cant re format it until i finish college.

if you have a virus restore wont help, only re-install, will mozilla is an alternative to internet explorer i prefer it as it works with broadband very well, and you will have an addy bar

much faster?? i8f your on broadband anyway, just remeber you may have to visit mozilla to add plug ins like shockwave, etc, and all your cookies will be different

i noticed the thing about the cookies and is there a way to copy n paste them?

not totally sure where they are stored, i cant find them in the mozilla file although they could be on the document/setting page,
