Over the last few days I have noticed loads of cars with little plastic flag poles clipped onto the top of their windows with a St Georges flag stuck on them. WTF is that all about? :confused:

I was thinking exactly the same too. We were on about it at work last week - I'm thinking Football's Euro 2004.

Oh god please no. I thought the football season was over and sanity would prevail. I suppose I've got the joy of loads of pissed people renaming the country "Ingerlund" and singing/shouting it in the streets every time the pub shuts. :annoyed:

also linked to St. George's day on friday, markets cornershops everywhere have been knocking em out for a while now...

in about 3 weeks time, when we play france - you wont get mistaken for a football hooligan when you go away because a)you dont wear a burberry cap and b)the finals are in portugal not italy!!

i disctinctly remember, terry wogan did the final commentry, and all the "russian" countries voted for each other...
