Fantastic day, just got in and about to have a very needed shower. An excellent day with good weather. Track seemed different to last time when it was colder but then my tyres were different (balder) this time.

I'm absolutely shattered, it's bleeding hard work :):D Thanks to Steve Carter, what a star. Unlucky about the fire Steve but very glad you got more laps in... we need to check the final scores to see where you came in.

I'll also download the video to my machine Tuesday night and send all the tapes back. Cheers Matt for taking the footage :)

Right, showertime!

Great day, I span again and ended up with 3rd :indiff:, made up for it by teaming up with Julian in the BM and winning the team drift contest

congrats to yeager on winning the clubman comp

I look forward to pics and vids, I'm especially praying someone got some good footage of me overtaking Julian with us both on full lock :)

And a big thank you to Si (Yeager) for the rather lovely team T-shirt and cap. Top work fella. And many congrats on winning the Clubman event. Oooh, that means youre a Pro now, youve only got to beat the likes of Phil now.

Also a huge thankyou to the marshall that put my car out:wack: and to Sideways Danny for rescuing my day by supplying a length of boost hose to bodge my car back together.

Had a cracking day, My little mishap meant I didnt get much practice but at least I did pull off one good run, unfortunately not when it counted.:(

I'll be back.:)

Well done on the win Yeager.

The standard of drifting was a definate improvement over round 1, shame the scoring wasn't quite up to par though. :wack:

It was another great day, it just seems to be getting better and better. The standard of driving was so much higher now, i'm glad i couldn't run atcually as i'd have been embaressing. The action was great though, it was a shame Phil span on his last run ad the 100 score before was amazing. I also have to say that Ben (Astonman) drove extremely well in his 525i, i reckon he'll be a star of the future.

All in all though it was great entertainment, bring on round 3!

really excellent day and even blagged into the pitlane to help mr.chairman :D

did think the scoring was a little inconsistent at times though, hope this is an issue that can be addressed at the next round

really well done to Si on winning the clubman class, really showed that scooby how to drift properly :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy

Everyone seems to have upped there game by a fair few notches
A huuuuuuuuuuuge thanks to all the Option boys n girls and Silverstone for putting it all together.

Pazza you were a star, driving James's motor for the first time and giving it the full pastie :D
Unlucky Phill, I've just seen your last run on tape it was sweet till the last corner(but you can hear the crowd go OOOOOOOOOH Bugger)

Mr Midgers, beg borrow or buy some proper suspenshion an you'd be top banana, still carn't belive ya running stock setup

Yep well done Scott, you did f*ckin ace, and your car hurts my ears in a strangley nice way :D
Paz, I fealt for you dude, the 86 is saweeet, after the effort to get there, popping the O2 sensor out of the manifold leaving an inch and a half hole in it was

Midgers, Scott speaketh the truth, you have propper natural talent, I dread to think how good you'd be with suspension :D

Thanks Phil, and congratulations dude! :) I just got in (2am), i reckon Matto will be in now too. Im about to go to bed after this food, havent slept properly for over 40 hours so im kinda looking forward to bed time :D AA wouldnt tow my car home as im not "fully covered" ( ), but said they could do it for £462. Bargain. :) Went back to James' gaff and myself, Will and Aston Man fashioned something to stop the flames licking into the engine bay and setting things on fire cus that hole seemed to be getting bigger as i drove.. :indiff: haha.. Thanks guys!

Anyways, thanks to Mayur at Option for welding my O2 back in, sunday morning after it first broke on saturday night. Didnt get back from Option till about 11am ish, got on the track and the weld broke again after a few times on the limiter a due to the brazeing on it :( Cus i was so late i got about 4-5 practice runs in (and i sucked anyway, and that blow sure did sap some power) before the O2 really let go on the first comp run. Didnt drive again untill James let me use his S13 for a quick play in Twin, cheers dude :)

Thanks to Scott for scareing the shit out of me with that monster.. I couldnt hear the engine of James S13 when that was behind me! :D Awesome car dude, as i said you were hauling some serious ass out there. And finally, thanks to all the regular cronies who make these events so fun regardless of the out come.. Phil, James1, James2, Matto, Matt T, Julian, Midgers, Scott, Danny etc. etc. :) Congrats to all the winners and everybody who competed, top work folks.

Despite doing nothing noteworthy on Sunday (apart from my grass excursion, i quite enjoyed that), im still totally in love with my new 86.. Saturday made me :D

Thanks

Paz

Was an excellent day, i think i got twice as many practice runs in compared to the 1st round, and that included me having to nip off to re fuel halfway through...

the standard of drifting has improved 10 fold since the last event, i was amazed!!

big congats to si for his clubman win, looked plesed as punch mate, and deserved it too!!!!

also big congrats to Phil M for a STONKING 100 points run, although the spin cost you 1st place was still quite excellent..

hi to everyone i spoke to, another exellent day, really good atmosphere, hope to see you all in 2 weeks for the practice.. :)

TOP day!!

Congrats on the 'clubman' win Yeager, and after all that moaning about tyres, and me looking like an arse trying to give you advice... :notworthy

Cheers for that comment Genjuro, not sure I'm quite "a future star" but I'm quite chuffed with my result, considering I was fully expecting to be almost completely unable to sustain a decent drift with 17 year old suspension that was barge like when new, no LSD and only 150hp. Next event, welded diff.

Damn shame about the manifold Pazza, glad it was sorted well enough to get you home though.

Yep what a brilliant day,

Well done to those guys who won, the standard of driving is really improving.

The prcatice system worked really well, think I got almost a dozen runs in. I ballzd up on the comp though but the twin drift was really good fun, only we need some more practice at that.

risky business

Top day and for the first time there wasn't a windchill factor of -10. :)

What an absolutely Fantastic day - as usual :D
I got loads more practice runs in this time. Much better

Phil - 100% run :notworthy I told you I'd f**k up my 2nd run :wack::rolleyes: What happened with the marshalls not letting you out? I was just about to set off for my 2nd champ run and heard the marshall say "Car 7 is adament that he's in the next round" I'm thinking yeah he deffo is??!?!
Even if I'd got another 95 I'd have only just scraped in with you lot, there was a 97 another 95 and a 99 point run. I'm amazed how much people have improved since the last round:eek:

I did catch the bloke from Tein looking confused at my shocks - maybe looking for prospective sponsorship candidates? :D

Yeager - Great to meet you finally:wave Outstanding driving  According to my lass in the stands everyone cheered for you like lunatics when it came down to you and the scooby :D:D

Paz - just managed to see your car on the track, It looks sweet:thumbs: Hope it's going okay now mate

I have 50 odd piccies to post up but I'll get them uploaded when I'm back in Scotland tonight. Not sure how good they'll be coz they were all taken from the stands and it aint got a big zoomifyer on it :)

:)

Yeah, it seemed like the whole stand was cheering for the Scoob. There was a posse of us (about 8 or so) 200 owners that thought it was rediculous that a 4wd car could win a bloody drift comp. We literally shouted or hearts out and stamped harder than we should have....

We made the difference though apparently and Si got the win

Great stuff....:D

The standard of driving is really improving. Im not convinced that the scoring wasnt "rigged" in some way. It was suggested by some that if you had an Option prepared car you immediately got 10-15 points added to your score.

If we (the crowd) can spot a better drive from our perspective, how come the bloody judges cant!?! :annoyed:

Rant over. Other than that another top day. I hope to be there next round. Pleae dont improve too much int he meantime LOL:D

Fantastic stuff Yeager  Really pleased for ya mate :)

Steve - wotappened?!?! FIRE??!!

Umm, yeah. My breather pipe came off the exhaust cam cover and dripped oil onto braided turbo water feed pipe that was wrapped with exhaust lagging. Which then caught alight with the heat from the turbo. It melted the water pipe but luckily Mr Smashing Sideways Danny brought me some 6mm actuator hose to bodge it back together so I could finish the day. Wasnt sure it would take the heat from the turbo but it worked fine. Thanks again to Danny for the help and also GmasterT for being fat.:D

The worst bit about it now is that my entire engine bay and a fair bit of the interior is now covered with white powder from the marshalls fire extinguisher. Its gonna take me forever to clean it all up.

I think Im going to buy my own fire extinguisher. In fact I think this is one thing that all drift cars should have, the heat produced by the engine is quite amazing considering the short amount of time each run takes.

Steve - wotappened?!?! FIRE??!!I think one of the breathers came off and dripped oil onto the exhaust. Ask sideways danny, he was there at the time. I think it was prolly just an excuse by danny to do something to someones car  :D

Big Boned... :whip: (your a dead man carter, but I'll give you a chance and fight you on my knees! :D  )

T'was an excellent day & once again made me yearn to get out there! If carter can do it anyone can! (infact he was doing well untill he came and got 'advice' from the spectators!) I Also took loads of footage with ninjin's v.flash vid cam

Only gripe is the lack of consistency in the scoring, but other than that

Specially when he stopped in front of the stand and did a huge burnout :D

I eventually got slapped wrists for that :( Was a bit of fun anyway, I did intend to get out of the car whilst keeping a foot on the gas and brake but the marshall at the other end was waving at me to stop :D
