there was a thing on the morning news (which is now just a lame chat show really) the other day about em with richard hammond saying how :ghey: they are. to right sir.
one of the main resons why i ocassionally creep over the limit (not in 30's and 40's mind) is because people drive too slow and its just so frustrating. i'm sure thats why the roads get congested aswel - i know theres a lot of traffic, but its not helped by the fact that people do 40 in 60's for example and will just sit behind other people going that speed because they daren't overtake. bah. then you get the people who do 50 everywhere - they really p :censored: ss me off.
there should be a minimum limit aswell.

oh yeah, theres a bit of a bandit speed camera coming into leicester in oadby by the asda store. you can't really see it as theres loads of signs all round it + trees etc. you have to be looking right at it to see it, tis rather camouflaged.

Nope, they are allowed to hide them but the revenue can't be kept if they are hidden (ie it goes back to government instead of the force that put it there taking a cut)
Thing is.....I bet they don't tell the government :no:

Aren't the second lot of pics showing a camera right before a school? If so, then IMHO you should have no excuse for speeding there. Fair enough for the first lot of pics - I agree with you on them, but I don't believe in going over the limit in a school zone :no:

There is no school there
There is a school crossing patrol warning sign though. Perhaps it's on a route that lots of school kids need to cross. :)

Very true and with that School Crossing Sign (considering how dangerous that road is anyway) you'd think they ought to be making it as visible as possible.
Unless they don't give a fook about road safety and just want to fill the coffers :annoyed: :censored: :mad: :furious:

'They' (whoever 'they' are) have enabled a previously competant Police Force to become a source, at best, of apathy where the general public are concerned.
And the saddest thing of all? It is BLATANTLY OBVIOUS how bad the public opinion is on this matter and no-one in authority gives a toss.
You cannot kid Joe Public with something as obviously money-driven as this no matter what they do but the Govt. and Chief Constables continue to talk bollocks about it as if we are all idiots and they are so up themselves that they cannot see the level of damage that this has done, and continues to do.
I read a report recently (it was an internal memo - don't ask...) from the local Ch.Const. saying he was concerned that the Police 'might be in danger of losing the public trust'.
(said in a moronic way) 'Do you really think so.....?' :rolleyes:

PS A copper I know told me recently that he and his colleagues where absolutely f*cked off with the Safety Camera bollocks as it was now affecting their ability to effectively police.

I'm led to belive that they only put speed cams where there has either been 4 deaths or serious injury caused by motorists yet hidding the cam will never stop it just fill gov/plod pockets :furious:

How come, earlier this year, when the Govt. promised to have each site checked for validity that, out of 6000 locations, all 6000 just happened to be completely justified? :rant:

Essex filth in their infinate wisdom today had their very unmarked camera van sitting in an rather tasty position near Burnham this morning on a down hill section of road with excellent visibility (at LEAST a mile) on a road that I love and so do countless other bikers:mad:
Then later I see the same van parked on a fast section of road between South Woodham and the new A130. and where was this excellent piece of road safety equipment parked? Behind a bloody florist van :mad:
May I apologise to the officers on here but Essex Police have done Sweet FA to improve road safety. We have the largest concentration of cameras in the UK and the highest number of road deaths and serious injuries in the UK for the past year :( NOW WHAT THE FOOK DOES THAT SAY FOR SPEED CAMERAS???
Every day I see more and more people driving cars without putting on a seat belt and a large number still using a hand held phones :mad: Who the FOOK is doing anything to police this???:mad:
Something is going to have to be done about the police in this country 'cause I consider myself to be a pretty level headed sort, but I am feeling more and more pi$$ed off and I don't believe for one moment that I'm in a group of one:mad:
