You wouldn't believe how fast the gixer is, blagged at test ride on wednesday when I was buying some oil at the local bike shop, I shit myself, power wheelies at 130mph
I'd go for the Duke myself given the choice, not that I'd spend that much on a bike when £2.5k can buy something fast enough to keep up with all but the most commited lunatic :D

'93 Fireblade putting out 139bhp, and '00 Honda Dominator for commuting but made redundant by the '99 S14a.
Not surprised that a lot of SX owners are bikers/speed freaks, they sort of go together. You even get the same kind of knowing nod or wave that sportsbike riders have been exchanging for years.
Yup, same bike as Mambastu (W reg J1) but in Silver. Only been riding a short while but it's great :)
Anyone done their IAM? A mate just finished doing theirs, and couldn't recommend it enough.

Got an R6 at the moment. Had it for three years after crashing my '98 GSXR750. Had to downsize to afford the insurance unfortunately.
I also own a Honda CRM250 for green laning.
Been through a few bikes in the last 15 years.

Heres my trusty old 'Loctite' replica Yamaha FZR1000 Exup
http://www.mcse1000.fsnet.co.uk/Chris's%20Bike/FZR.jpg
....which has now been replaced by a Suzuki GSXR1000. Mad, snarling beast of a bike, pops the front wheel up in 3rd gear......which is nice :D

mmmmm,im the wrong side of 30,my reumatism, and complete rustyness on blikes would lead to an early grave if i did get one of these superbikes
[i think],so im looking at one of these,a basic big aircooled twin,
http://www.triumph.co.uk/site/bikes/page.cfm?BikeID=82
should be quick enough on the twisties to be fun and get me to and from work
on a daily basis, and i can probably work on this if anything went wrong
ps anyone seen these FFS 2.3 in a bike
http://www.triumph.co.uk/site/bikes/page.cfm?BikeID=83
