Been having the week from hell with an old Compaq Proliant 1600 Server.
The end result is the server is not detecting the single SCSI drive on boot.
I have tried changing cable and attaching it to the (working and detected) DLT connection, but still no joy
When i first power on the drives lights up, and i also get a brief green light when the SCSI detection process begins, but it never finds the drive.
Is the drive finished , or is there another way of tried to get the drive up again?
Cheers
I have tried booting from a smart start CD, but that doesn't seem to help if the drive isnt being found, unless i am not using smart start correctly?
(another server is already on order, but isnt due for 6 weekes)
