Ok, I know it's a bit sad and immature and bound to cause friction in the long run, but i want to have a race against the BF.

I used to wipe the floor with him at traffic lights when he had his Escort, but he's just bought a Supra (non turbo) and his smugness is really p1ssing me off. :annoyed:

We're in Winsford. Where can we go for a burn up without any onlookers so I don't lose me bottle?

I think you should just drive around ... and oportunity's will arise where it is safe to boot it from low speeds to the speed limit.
Setting an exact place you may be tempted to boot it anyway even if its not safe, dont get yourself into trouble, just have some fun.

There's loads of RWYB days organised and good way to prove to him who's his daddy. Just forget about the onlookers :)

Or failing that, you've got some fantastic roads between winsford and chester

buy a bren device - set it for 15+-/1 bar psi - and remmember to keep get your revs to 4K before declutching :whip: - the load causes them to drop to 3K immediately, but then you're on boost till redline, clutch->2nd, boost till redline, clutch->3rd, boost till redline. and probabley breaking the legal speed limit. SANTAPOD!

:D

chances are the supra Naturaly Aspirated also happens to be an auto.

you'll have a much better start than the supra with your manual tubby s13 if you do what I recommend at the top, but he'll start to play catch up with his auto gearbox after that. believe me, watching all the auto supras having slow starts at TSC3 was a laugh.

think you need an SR20DET in there first though ;), alternatly, what colours your silvia, sure we can swap the wheels and No. Plate on to a similar one to really wipe the floor with him ;)

Cool!

I was thinking of something off the public highway - cops having MAJOR crackdown on speeding in Winsford, loads of them about today!

Years ago, I used to go to bike shows - Kent Custom, Wales & South West Custom etc and I used to love watching the RWYB

I had no idea there was similar thing for cars - doh!

I'm quite excited... :D

Sorry to disappoint, but my baby's non-turbo :( and the supra's manual.

Tenman - how sneaky and devious!!!
I like your style. Marlin Blue btw. :D

Tenman's idea is interesting.
Would be up for this for the giggle, but I think your four stud hubs and what appear (in the avatar) to be hub caps would give the game away.

Can't tell - what car do you drive ? ;)

Minky

No, they really are alloys (REALLY wanna change them though, they're knackered).

Tenman's plan would have been a laugh though...

Gotta go

Damn, forgot about 4 stud hubs, you need to upgrade to UK spec. S14 hubs and Calipers then

Minky
21-05-2004, 20:10
Ah, the cold sobering light of day! What was I thinking?
DAMN that red wine...

Still, at least I gave a few people a laugh.

you need to upgrade to UK spec.

Yeah, I finally got my rear discs fitted on Thurs but the guy at the garage said the discs were ONLY for my car and that no other discs would fit it - I dunno, I don't understand why mine is supposed to be so rare. Maybe because everyone gets the turbos. Shouldn't affect the wheels though should it?

I mentioned again about upgrading to UK spec but he reckons it can't be done on my car.
Something about the transmission????

If I wanted bigger alloys, couldn't I get 4 stud ones? I keep banging on about this don't I?

OK, as long as you're not mad axe murderers ;)

I'm working every day of the week at the mo though, so will have to be an evening.

It would be good to get some opinions on what's possible as far as mods.
My car is in need of some tlc, it's a bit of a vandal magnet I'm afraid - and no sniggering at me wheels!

Actually, there's a guy down the road from me with a damson S14 and it's mint. Don't think he's on the forum though.

Left towards Rudheath and the pub is on the corner on the left just over the hump back bridge over the canal,

I'll need directions though!
If your coming from Holmes Chaple you`ll need to follow Northwich signs, and when you get to the big roundabout by Morrisons warehouse, kepp following the road ahead, to next roundabout ahead again, passing a petrol station (might be BP, keeps changing hands !) before the national speed limit signs there`s a junction on your left over hump back bridge, pub on left, regarding knuckle dusters, not sure never drank there before so I`ll put my baseball bat in the boot just in case :D

Minky
25-05-2004, 20:17
OK, I've just consulted

"THE VOICES IN MY HEAD"

and they said, er, no. Not a mad axe murderer. Not even mad.
Nope. Not me. :wack:

So, Aitch - you'll be the one with the knuckle dusters, and Muttley - you'll be wearing a baseball hat. :D :D :D

C u in the car park, last one there's a secret scooby lover.
First round's on me ;)
