Lots of ways, PI, Net search, depends what info you have already.

If you have enough info about them like location, full name etc you could do a generic search or use as Jezz said or try various search directories. Some people sign up to web circles, you can even search the white pages for their e-mail address. As well as that some directories are like the phone book and all you need is a name and location.
