a lot of cars in the states have them, i always thought it was just to stop stone chips on the front or something? looks like a good day, i'll need to keep my eye out for the glenvarigill day, was a cracking day last year, tons of nice metal on track and probably the sunniest day of the year

dunno why they dont just drive everywhere with the car cover on if they're so bloody worried about dirt and chips. It's not even a decent porsche! (decent = bloody expensive)

nice pics, otherwise

Any reason you have called that 512 picture "208 turbo"?? It werent a bit special was it ?? (other than being a 512 of course :notworthy )

I believe it was, not knowing much about Ferrari's I assumed this was just one of the models available? It is badged 208turbo on the back, I've got a rear pic at home I can post up showing this.

Interesting Mr Bond - I reckon that car is almost certainly a 512BB, and the only Fezza I know with a 2 and an 8 in the name is the legendary 288 GTO. It aint one of them though I can tell yer

Im intriuged now .........

Hmmmm, sounds wierd - not the sort of car to get the rebadged just to show off treatment IMO. Engine transplant from something else entirely different maybe?

Will post other pic this evening.

I would assume the 208 is a 208 as per the following link:

Click here for 208 info (http://www.qv500.com/ferrari308p4.htm)

2 litre V8 anyone?

Must type faster...and refresh page more often :)

The 208 was for Italy only, a reduced capacity 308 V8 with turbo's, other than that was identical to the 308, IIRC it was for tax reasons??? as 2.0 litre cars were cheaper for car tax/ purchase tax.

Odd. Dunc's 208 turbo has the 308 front end. The 208 turbo on that pic has the 328 front end???
