hey there... im bored so thot id write a crappy review

well i jus rented out 2f2f... ok im gunna be honest, i was impressed!! The racing scenes, although mostley fake, were directed better than the in the first movie by FAR! Look, they have corners in america!!! There was way more car-focused scenes, and not too many dodgy lookin birds....... though I wanst impressed by the s2k driver.... I loved the V8 thing that came into it, mmm, cannot beat that V8 sound I have to say, wot an idling note!! .... I liked the dukes of hazzard style boat jump too... shame they made it mind..... A few questions though, what the hell happened to all the other people on the boat?!?! There were heavies all round it when they left the dock, then when paul and the other guy ramped onto it, they shot the big man, and no one else appeared.... pretty poor bodyguards if u ask me....... and where do those guys buy them 24 speed gearboxes?! Also have they ever considered an antilag system? I noticed it takes about 30 seconds to get to 70mph, then a further 5 to get to 160  Mabey a smoother output would be useful...... also, why give tyreese such a gay looking eclipse? it was sooo g a y.. :ghey: .... Its a shame they used the shit 'zoom' effect when they used there damn endless supplies of 'nitrous' as was in the first film...... looked too fake................ also, i think they shouldnt put in those scenes where they jump things like bridges or ramps..... NOT wize or realistic, even though the rest is dangerous if copied by young kids n such, jumping a bridge looks muchos fun and cool if done right.. but lets be honest!! It wont be done right and the person will kill themselves if daft enough to try! Its been done, ive already seen a vid of a kid in a teg Type R who ramped a steep hill at about 80-90mph, it landed on its nose and consequently flipped off the road, and the guy was killed all whilst his mate was filming....... not the stuff to re-shoot for 2f2f when this happened and was published long before 2f2f was released...... anyway, back on subject, the film had many of the same flaws as the first one, though car-wize was much more entertaining i thought, and if one can ignore the constant drummin in of 'bro' and 'homes' and such the soundtrack didnt seem to bad either, pretty decent me thinks...... makes me want a muscle car to sit aside my silvia on the drive

dead clients don't pay!!.. what is the point of going to get shot for a man who is already dead... he ain't going to pay you for a job well done :smash:

the eclipse was designed by the actor that was driving it.

The sound track is by David Arnold (just type his name in google and i am sure you have watched a number of films hes scored.)

..........and why did the producers cut a deal to get the new Evo when they had a mucho better Skyline to begin with !? What did happen to that Skyline ??

Cookie
16-05-2004, 10:51
Well the skyline is not a us car so is not marked over there so nissan would have no interest in it being in the film (Actual it would have been end of life at time of filming).

Mitsi want to break more in to the us market so are likley to have either provided so many car no one knew what to do with them or a shit load of cash and cars , in the attempt to up their image (the evo is now available in the states).

hm

the 1st film was cool. i love the whole tuning focus, the street racing, the film felt fast paced which went well with the theme, i love the whole team/family thing. shame they made a few mistakes on the technicalities.

the 2nd one was plain embarressing. so many gay lines... literally: 'i've got something for your ass' and 'you got balls kid. i admire them'.

still, if you like the 2nd one more than the first one that's ok by me. we're in the 21st century now... so it's ok to come out of the cupboard :D

yeh dude, thts a 'stang..... HSV?! nuthin like :p .... HSV's are arite me thinks, but i preffer the Holden ute masel.. seen one up ere believe it or not the other month!! In lime green, was sweet as fcuk, even though it wasnt the performance model....tho for pick-ups/utes itd have to be the dodge ram for me!! one overtook me on the tain bridge... by fcuk, the hood was taller than my car! ..... I think its a shame those cars in the film looked so ricey.. the R34 was niceish, but i dont like all these vented bodykits, theres more holes than fibreglass now! Might as well do without the bumpers altogether :D ...... The wheels on tht eclipse were mingin jade-goody style.... didnt suit the car atall!! ..... I want wheels that are thick 6 spoke in chrome with gold 'bars/ spokes' inside kinda extruded from the chrome spokes (ill draw a pic later :P) I think that would look shwing....... hey, wot about the gay line at the start? 'bend over boy'

I tried to watch it twice as I love cars but couldn't get past the first 20 minutes.

It reminded me of an old TV show called "Thunder in Paradise" when Hulk Hogan solved crimes with a powerboat and they'd speed up the footage of it going fast.

It was that cheesy. What a shame.

Did anyone else think that the guy who had written it had been playing too much of GTA: Vice city? Most parts are liek missions of the game... Win the streetrace, Win the race to a point to get the package, etc etc...

LOL... i almost got the chance to meet Paul Walker whilst i was in LA (Andy from Sumo Power was supposed to meet him at the D1GP But he was stuck filming) The first thing i was going to say if i did was... Sup Bro... LOL... My mate Jim would have pissed himself... :D

I think they should feature peeps like luarel and hardy again .... models for the common man!
