Housemate has one, very fun to chuck through country lanes, gives him near on 45mpg and has pigeon noises as standard. If i needed a town car or something, i'd probably get one

Downside: Crap on motorways, very noisy with roof down :)

Wouldnt have one

Great fun to drive though

Overall

Have more respect for it than a TT

buy Evo mag - they did a good review of the Brabus version last month.

Can't remember the exact text but it was something along the lines of "fine if you like it"

Not really fair competition for a S12, 13 or 14 is it though

another opinion but there are lots to take into account and saying the above depends on a lot of cicumstances

driver
conditions
road
sensibilty

not saying this car is fast at all i'm just saying you can't assume things by just thinking you won a race

it's a 82bhp, 3 pot, 698cc hairdryercharged lump.

Of course you beat it.

Its a girls car like the StreetKa, but I'd imagine that it would be more fun to drive, but I just wouldn't!

I regularly get beaten by Corsas and Saxos. Doesn't mean their cars are faster than mine, just means I have no interest in breaking the 30mph limit unlike their brainless, feckwit owners.

Well, I personally would laugh at a bloke driving one. Would expect him to be very gay! :ghey:

isn't the price tag for these about 17k?

Genjuro
14-05-2004, 15:11
If its 17k then anyone buying one must be mad. Its not really my thing, i imagine it might be a fun town car but i'd rather buy and old Suzuki Cappucino and up the boost a bit.

Allegedly a minor problem with water ingress around door seals, but cure seems to be okay on affected cars, some cars being replaced because of it tho.

Probably does handle like it on rails, but I just couldn't bring myself to get one... ever

Well let's face it, you've been blown away by them in the past (and by mopeds) so it's hardly surprising you aspire to one

I saw one outside victoria station today.

They look like someone tried to combine the citroen c2 and a modern tvr then make it plastikier.. and shit.

the exhausts were litteraly bouncing along on the ground, too.

LOL & :ghey: ! (I jest, I jest)

Seriously though, If I could ever get into one it would have the same performance as a unicycle with a flat tyre...

I very much dislike any cars that rely on a lightweight+small engine means fast therory...
A. They are Generally plastic
B. They have shite engines

Why bother with a turbo'ed lawnmower engine when you can drop in a proper one?! (And make it a proper car! :whip: )

the words of EVO mag:

Do you "get" smart?
Do you think the original Smart Car was;
a) an intelligent answer to the sludge of urban traffic, or
b) a silly motorised version of teh child's little tikes car?

Do you regard the new Smart Roadster as;
a) a fantastically cool sports car for the Gatso generation or
b) an expensively large Nike Air Max with lawnmower motor in the heel? :wack: (i liked this analogy)

If you answered b) to both of these questions, turn page now - there's a ferrari coming up soon

:D

They are ok, I've driven one recently and they are not that fast but great fun to drive, speed isn't everything you know folks!
