Erm, they re-surfaced Donington and a few days later we discovered a wet track with brand new tarmac can't hold 554bhp :(
To be honest we were only warming up and hadn't even switched the boost controller on, not using any of that massive power, it was like driving on ice :(
Sessions were continuously stopped all morning, even experienced drivers were falling off the track every 5 minutes (I'm not exaggerating :eek: )

To cut a long story short we hit a solid concrete "crash barrier" (read: wall) at about 50mph on the main straight, fortunately this is the slowest part of the circuit :smash:

Airbags taste nasty ;)

The journey back home in the wagon with the R33 on the back was not fun

But those are some of the fastest cars ever made! How can a Nova be safer than a skyline when they're so insanely fast? :confused:

I'm told the R33 will be back before too long :)

I can't wait, I'm hoping for 650bhp, then Steve can scare me some more and stay on the track :D

It was a lot worse than we thought it would be, massive bruise on my shin and a bit of neck ache, nothing serious though.

I was totally gutted that we didn't get a good lap with 554bhp though :(

I can't wait for the repairs to be finished :nod:

It won't be at Japfest though :mad:
