S13 Computer model

Some time ago someone showed a rendered image of an S13 they produced, for what reason I dont know, who was it ? what software was it and where can I get a copy from ? ?

Yeah that was me, I think. It was possibly one of the worst models I have ever done too :)

I used 3DSMax 4 for that, I still have all the meshes and stuff if you want them :)

Hello ! fast response !

Well Im not actually after nicking your meshes for that car, I wondered if it is was in anyway related to a CAD format, i.e. could I build a mesh of a car/design a car and then use it to create dimensioned drawings of bodypanels ? or is it really just for giving a good representation of a car ? more of an 'arty' package.

Im an FE Analyst by profession so use 3D modelling software all day long, so Id hope to be able to use this.

I've never used Autocad or anything, but I am sure 3ds is more than capable of being used as it... I've seen people mock up living rooms and things in it.

No doubt if you use 3D modeling stuff all day, you would have no issues with using 3DS, it's a great bit of kit. Just a shame I never really got enough time to learn it properly :(
