Came home from work about 40 minutes ago travelling from speke to manchester on the M62. Saw an outline on a dark bridge and slowed without really thinking about it, as I got closer to the bridge could see a row of laser cameras and a police van with a police car a bit further down the motorway, strangely dont think it set off my snooper, I do hope I dont recieve any nice little letters in the post in the near future

But FFS, friday night, people coming home after a long week at work, miserable tw*ts.

yes mate they have nothing better to do...

that's my place of work and i cover 1500 to 2500 miles a week on the motorways. i have seen the police and the D.o.t. out at 2:30 in the morning doing full roadside inspections on us H.G.V.'s that takes about 45 to 60 minutes and it is nerve wracking. the silghtest fault on your motor and you are in deep 5h1t.

the last one i had i got collered at 9:30 at night on the M4 near Cardiff. didn't leave till 10:45. the Police went through all my tacho's with the fine tooth comb, employment bod's checked i wasn't claiming dole or was an illigal immagrant, and my motor and trailer got an M.O.T. and they where desprate to find a fault so they could DV9 me ( means i cannot turn a wheel untill the fault is repaired and my boss get in 5h1t and i get well stuffed). they main M.O.T. man lost his rag because i had an uk trailer that had been re-regestered in southern ireland. he just seen it had not test disc and went off on one, ran off to his computer to check it out with the full intention of getting the plod to kill me for using a trailer with no M.O.T. when he finally came back saying it wasn't on the system and descoverd it was from over the water he went on a killing spree on my motor. he stood and wached my oil filter for an age waiting for some oil to drip off it so he could nail me for an oil leak  the best he could manage was an advise for the suspected oil leak. an 1 1/4 of my time took up for a bunch of ar5e. (and the trailer had a mot... just it don't have to show it)

it's all revenue raising mate that's all nothing more

IS the correct answer.....

Nicking burglars (and perhaps acually putting them away) is non-profit making so is therefore a low priority.

This Country's so f*cked-up it's frightening :furious:

Normally if there's a row of cameras (one per lane) they are not for speed but for checking license plate against tax/insurance details.

I did wonder, and that would explain the police car afterwards and why my snooper stayed silent
