as im getting a new computer, i want to have the internet on it. a want a isp thats free all the time, or at least off peak hours, i remember breath.com were doing it for £50 a year, but there not going any more. is there any others that do a similer thing? i know free serve and aol do it, but its about 15 a month, i would prefer a pay per year one so i can forget about it. i hate having monthly bills. chimp, you seem to be the surlock guy, can you dig out suming? please.

I'm on LineOne surftime, which is fine when it works (having some problems recently with it being unusably slow at times http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/mad.gif ). Its £10 a month with free weekend and evening connection. The ISPs offering totally free connection for £50 a year and what not have gone under for a reason!

I'm on NTL, I was already on their phone network so the internet access is completely free, they had a few problems to start with but there o.k. now

hehe.. Yes, those monthly, hassle free direct debits are a pain.

Do a search under Yahoo for free ISP's there's absolutely millions, FREEUK is a good'un that you don't pay a penny for except the phone line ofcourse, I just dial into my server at work and have it call me back so then use their proxy server to get out, a little slow sometimes, but cause they have such a fast line it works out o.k. and its completely free !!! (not that they know anything about it ofcourse).
