My Outlook Express is a bit fooked - every so often it will deny me access to a folder, and pop up a message saying "Run ScanDisk to check the system is OK" :)
Problem is, I cant find ScanDisk - Im running 2K Pro, and although I have run chkdsk and also repaired Office, but its still not working.
Where can I find ScanDisk, or any other ideas chaps?? Thanks :)

Now, I'm no expert mate, but in my eyes there is only one solution...
:smash: :smash: :smash: :smash: :smash:
...And problem solved  :D
(should be in the C: drive 'section')
From explorer right click on c: drive
Selct properties
Go to the tools tab
Scandisk is one of the three you will find there.
I hate to be pedantic but scandisk doesn't exist in Win2k - you need to use checkdisk
Method:
Open command prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd [OK])
Type the following: chkdsk c: /f
Checkdisk will prompt you to say the volume is in use and ask if you'd like to schedule for next time the system is restarted, confirm this by pressing Y then Enter
Restart the computer

I had a similar problem to this with my OE in work. It was because my folders had to many items in them. Unfortunately if this is the case there is not much you can do about it.
Only thing you can do is try using Outlook instead or create youself anew profile within OE.
If this is not the case then im not sure
Im not sure if its the same with outlook express but I know that if a outlook mail box goes over 2 gig it will become corrupt and not beable to be read again! Another quality M$ product

Its a possibility but im sure the total size of all my folders was under 2gig.
You may want to try compressing the folders to reduce the size (make sure you are working offline first otherwise it will double the size of your folders instead of reduce them).

Thats handy  :wack:
2 GB of mail? jeez.... my total mail folder size including the program itself is only just over 100MB and I go through over 150 emails a day (sometimes up to 300). I only keep 3 or 4 months worth of mail tho unless it stands to be useful.
