View Full Version : NT Logon problem?

Have a laptop with NT on it, that has decided to not respond to the CTRL+ ALT+DEL request to bring up the Logon box. Rebooted many times.

The laptop has never been used on a Network or the Internet.

The Keyboard buttons are all working as CTRL+ALT+DEL will reboot the machine on boot-up.

"Last known good" Didn't not work either :(

So the laptop is sitting there telling to hit CTRL+ALT+DEL to Logon, yet doing so is not gaining any response.

Any offers anyone?

Cheers

Andy

got a ps/2 port? might be worth pluggin in an external keyboard, maybe the driver for any silly buttons etc you get on the keyboard isnt loaded/loading and rendering the kb useless to the operating system

Encountered a similar prob with 2000, had to plug in an external ps2 keyboard in the end. It was the drivers if i remember right.
