Mates are asking me if they'll be allowed in the pit lane like the first time or will they only be allowed in the stands?

:)

I think it will be stands only I'm afraid. I think this is beacuse last time people were walking all round the pit area and also after seeing what that rally driver did at the autocar sideways challenge where he stacked the car in the pit lane they realised that there insurance agent would have a hart attack if they continued to let spectators walk all over the place. a little too risky!

If they change there position on this I'll let you know.

I think its best that spectators stay out of the pit area unless its personal friends of the drivers... And i think they can come in provided they are in your car with you?

But yeah, with all those rims lying about etc i would feel a bit un-easy about it.. And im not 100% sure but the day before round 3 last year, i had a TRD Oil Filler Cap on my 86. The day after, the badge from the middle of it was missing... Im not assuming anything, it could of fell "out" but it got me thinking.

Thanks Manish
Good point Paz. I was only thinking of personal friends but yeah I wioudn't want hundreds of people walking around either I suppoze.

Maybe we could have a system where we could sign specific people in to the pitlane, like a VIP pass or something?

I would say it is best advised to have spectators in stands. At an event I was at last year, there was only one place for everyone, my friends jack walked away for a while. Also my friend had some Volk TE37s people kept picking up to admire them and the owner wasn't even around. Just easier to keep track of lost things when spectators and drivers are seperate.

maybe in 2005 you we can have the regular competition drivers be in the pit lane if for any reason they cannot take part, I would like to take part in all of them but cant afford it, but it would be nice to chat to the other drivers on the day.

I agree, we don't want everyone in the pits, but I think you should be allowed to sign in your buddy or GF.
