I am thinking of changing the stock Clarions for some JBL GTO speakers, £50 ish, I have had some JBL's before and they were load and proud and the coils never melted http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif
I think the JBL GTO's should drop straight in, anybody else have any advice or do I have a cunning plan?

Hello mate,
I got some JBL's for my car as they were on sale in Halfords, There the ones with the black weave type pattern on the cones.
I think mine were 16"s but I had to get two plastic spacer thingys to make them fit the white plastic housing from the original speakers which was a bit of an arse pain, I'm still not totally happy with the sound and will probably end up re-doing them when I have the time.
I'd suggest taking one of the housings in with you when you buy the speakers and try them for size.
