OK, so my exhaust fell off!! (Fitted 1995, its had a good run!)
Obviously, driving round without a rear silencer is fun, I'm sure to get pulled.
Where can I get a new 'zorst? Considering something a little sporty, although Kwik fit say 100 for the standard.
Can anyone help??
Damian
Check out the Apex website, there shoud be a link in the traders forum.
never go to quick fit!!!
or formula 1 !!!
Or bodge it.
Where has it dropped off?
I cut the old backbox up and welded the pipe onto the back.
No backbox - ok sound, but not too loud.

Would it be possible just to get a cheap straight through from powerflow, and then just fit a tip? Its the rear section and silencer that have rusted through.
Hooning around on an open system (well, apart from the center silencer) is a hoot!

I have found the odd nice straight-through back box at the breakers yard:D try there first it's cheaper

It may loose you some power and cost you more in fuel. You would be better to loose the first box.

Flexi-pipe. Protects the turbo/exhaust manifold from ripping off its studs!

:o forgot that was there.
i just had a 'Rage' (yes i know! the universal peco) 3" rolled in back box, all the glass wool or what ever is stuffed into an exhaust came out on the first run and after that it sounded great, not to loud when taking it easy and when you put the foot down it was indescribable! never heard anything like it!
needless to say the foot was always heavy.
if you ask me, go get your self a stainless replacement and choose a note of your choice

Off to powerflow tomorrow!! :D
If they quote me more than £70 for a bit of pipe, I'm not going to be best pleased.
In fact, it will be a case of:
'Um yeah.... get my car down. I'm leaving'
;) :D

But turned out more like £100
I wanted a fancy tip, so they quoted me £30 extra for the tip. THEN they tell me fitting is an extra £20. Plus the VAT - you get the idea.
However!!!
It was £30 just for the pipework/brackets.
Just FYI :D
