PC Help (Attachments locked)!

I'm a bit of a pleb when it comes to PCs compared to most of you!! i'm running free vesion of AVG and Zone Alarm! had a virus get through a week or so ago, which AVG sorted quickly! but scince then most of my attachments are locked!!:confused: i'v been through the AVG and Zone Alarm menues but it dos'nt look like its them thats locking it!! any help appreciated!

if your using Outlook Express (one of the later versions, cant rember when it started...) all attachments are blocked by default... to un block...

open Outlook express
tools
options
un tick the secong square box - (Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that potentally could be a virus)

Outlook has a similar option somewhere... and if your retreiving mail from a webmail account, then the host mail server could be preventing you...

AVG wont prevent you from opening attachments, ut it will warn... dunno about Zone alrm though...

dont open attachments from people you dont know ! most will be virises! :)
