Headunit install

Hi all,

Have recently just brought my 200SX,today i had a go at installing my kenwood headunit everything went fine the stero works etc, however when i turn it up the lights on the dash and on the headunits display flicker and if i turn it up even more the headunit just turns its self off and i have to turn it down again to get it to work.

could it be the batery, my wiring any ideas?

This sounds like a bad earth. Make sure you have a good sound earth from your head unit. The wire will be black or brown and should be marked.I have found a good earthing point to be one of the screws that holds down the gaiter around the gear lever. Good luck dude.

its all working now thanks piglet (it was the earth)
