Im gonna get a 12"W3 JL audio sub. (I had W0's before and was pleased with em) All I want to know is what would be a good amp to power just the sub?
Also I have a profesionally made boot build for the sub which sits into the right hand rear wing, I got it of a mate who had an S14, I have an S14a. When I had a look, attached to the inside of the wing is some electrics which will be in the way, anyone no what it is? Can it easily be moved out of the way?
Cheers,
Dave.
I have a lovely Earthquake 200watt RMS amp for sale - hardly used, cost over £150 new and would power a single 12" sub a treat.
I used to use it for a single 12" sub in a sealed box, and it was fine... until I bought 2 subs!
I think I even have it's birth certificate somewhere - it's a good quality amp with a monster heatsink. It's the 200(something x or tx) model from about 2 years ago
To you sir, £70 (if you're interested!)
hhhhmmmm....i could be intrested in that amp...what sort of condition is it in????
have u got a pic of it?
I haven't got a pic, but might be able to get one for you (after Christmas if Santa brings me a digi camera!) - it's in pretty good nick as I didn't use it for long (about a year), and I wouldn't sell it if it didn't work. I could even demo it on one of my JBL subs for anyone beofre they buy it if required.
It had an easy life, running a single 12" sub for about 3 months, then being relegated to running a pair of rear speakers (at low gain so not to damage them!)

JackaL, how come u didn't just use it to run the 2 subs?
High Wycombe is quite a way from Coventry I'm afraid (I think)
I didn't use it for 2 subs as it's not powerful enough - I now have a 4 channel 500 watt amp running both subs. It's fine for a single one though.
It even has a built in high/low pass filter
One choice....

Strike AMP's are better but could not find a picture, have a look at the website V.Cool

I used to have a Rockford Fostage amp, very nice warn sound, but at the moment i have a Kicker i406 amp its six channel and it drives my front component set and my 6x9's the final two channels are bridged to run my 10" JL sub.
It was rated at 127dB - quite loud http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif
