On the phone to GmasterT, and he's fitting his sub to the s13, (cos it's not dark or anything) aparently it looked a lot smaller in the saab, but seems to have enough room for an A5 piece of paper in the *****, anyway it won't fit if the spare is in so what do you think he should keep?

with a sub installed a spare is pretty useless anyways

mine's not, it sits to one side and spare access is normal

it's just he has a Rocky 15 in a coffin sized box, and he won't downsize

agreed :)

spare wheel is not a legal requirement, but if you dont have one you are meant to have a tin of tyre weld as an alternative. Audi A2's dont have spares, and iirc smart cars dont either :)

Whats tyreweld then?

Its an aresol can which reinflates the tyre and normally seals the puncture hole, meant to get you home not permanent fix. Its in all petrol stations.

That rings a bell. Do you pump it through the valve then? Is so does it wreck the valve as well?

It does go through the valve, not sure whether it ruins it or not. I'd guess not, but a new valve is cheap so it might.
