View Full Version : Track/Drift Practice Venues
Mods: Could we start a sticky for venues that allow drifting or track days?
I need some advice on where I can go for either a track day or an airfield to practice/try drifting. I really want to take my car on a track or airfield, but I haven't got a clue where to get this info :(

ur wish is my command :D
Donnington: ur not officially allowed to drift, but if u make ur own space, and don't spin out, I've heard they usually let u get away with it..
Silverstone: the only non drift specific day I've been to was Trax, and they didn't really like it..
Curborough (go kart track) small and not that wide, but I really want to have a look at it again, as it's been a while since I saw it..
North Weald Air Field Drift Days (run by the Essex Drift Club)
It's a few miles up the M11, off the M25.

Was alot of fun, but could do with being a bit more professional.

As long as you dont spin castle combe are cool about done it twice in my impreza and had no probs with them
Bedford Autodrome has a dedicated skid-pan type area with attendant water bowser... I did an event day there a while ago through palmersport.com, and one of the events involved drifting a Caterham in a figure of 8 on this area. They also have 4 very nice tracks available for private hire...
I was very impressed, their tracks are of superb quality, only built in 1999, and with very, very large grass run-off areas.
Not sure what they might cost though!
Contact: info@palmersport.com
and, info at, err... www.palmersport.com or www.bedfordautodrome.com

NEWS FLASH....NEWS FALSH......
Got another venue lined up, down in Bordon hanmpshire (Aldershot way) going for a recce next week.
Looks like we drifters had better start getting good at this as I've also been having a chat with some magazines & they'd like to an article on the new scene, will need some peeps obviously, who's been polishing their car this weekend then?

Right I've gone all militant on this thread! Please only post info on specific venues that you have personal drift experience of.. There was nothing that wrong with the other crap you guys were posting, but if we could keep this particular thread on track that'd be great
