View Full Version : L.s.d.
Can anyone explain the difference batween a 1.5 and 2 way L.S.D. Has anyone here swapped their viscous coupling for a steel L.S.D. and what did they go for?

if the diff provides 55% lock on acceleration:
1.5way = 5% lock on deceleration
2 way = 45% lock on deceleration
I've got a Nismo SSS, it was set to 1.5way, and now I've set it to 2way, but haven't drifted it yet as the cars off the road...

hmmmmmm........ 2 way diff :smitten: :smitten:
I want one :nod: :notworthy
I know that everone seems to go for Cusco or Nismo LSD's, but are the Quaife Auto Torque Biasing LSD's any good??
I've got a torsen (torque biasing) S15 diff on my car - love it :)
Not tried it drifting yet, but its a great track diff. I think its a similar design to the Quaife diff.

Quife isnt good for Drift. Its a "Torque Biasing Unit", that description in its self should provide some answers as to why they arent used for drifting...

Anyone try the Kaaz diffs? Seems to be popular in the US but dont see it very often in Europe.

Weld the diff solid
Where's the best place to buy an LSD? I'm looking for a 2-way one which is suitable for driffting. Seen some on e-bay but very rarely.
