A shell and 3k to build a dori car help!!!

Ok so ive bought mitto's s13 on s14 running gear, i should have about 3k to spend on it to get it drift ready :thumbs:

Pointers Please

The cars already sorted as far as aero stuff goes so this is what i need

1. I need a engine (the cars CA ready)
2. Need a Exhaust
3. Need Suspension
4. Need Wheels

Ive got most other mods kicking about ie boost controller , bov, filter BRIDE bucket :thumbs: etc, but i need some idea of where to consentrate my money, i don't need to spend any money on labour as i'll be doin it all myself with a mate (thanks Andy). And im not bother about paint as it'll probaly end up upside down in the gravel anyways :cry:

What suspension
What exhaust
What engine spec

I was thinking a set of used tiens and some used 17's from the GTR.co.uk what is the maximum width i can go for on s13 (ade help) Deffo goin for a hiper muffler used or new dont care which.

But really need to decide what to do with the CA , probaly just a T25h and a manifold to reduce lag oh and a front mount (already sorted).

it aint got no engine dude so i presumed anyway that i needed a clutch.........lol

NO the teins aren't on it, he trying to sort them out with someone and i sadi i'll have them as soon as he does but , if i can source some before i will sort of thing :thumbs:

I've got the standard suspension still if you're struggling for any mate :)

it's on standard 4x4 s13 struts at the mo

It'd be best, while the engine is out also to re-route some of the wiring-loom from the inner wheel arches, to perhaps over the front strut housings in the engine bay. Running wide rims will give some rubbing and with time, it will burn through the wires that run under the front arches behind the plastic liners.. Aint that right Ade :)

HKS Hiper is nice, Apex'i N1 is nice and anything with Duel pipes rocks for me :) Buddy Club Exhausts seem to be dirt cheap aswell, i think Option are a Buddy Club dealer for the UK now. (they do pretty cheap wheels also)

Teins, nice. HKS Hiper Max, nice. Zeal Function series, nice. Most coilovers will do the job handsomely, so i guess its just finding any set for the right money. Cusco Pillow Ball Uppers are like £150 or so and are also very good. If you just get a basic setup covered, then with time you can see which parts of the car you want to change and then know how to set about it... So its probably best to not go overboard at first, but you can guarentee with time you'd want coilovers/adjustable shocks and Camber adjustment anyways..

buy gary' SCA's engine off him, solid as a rock. expensive at 3k but when you see the work thats gone into it you'll see how much of a bargain it is :nod::Plug:

i was certainly tempted and still am :wack:
he also has an omex managment system for it which he is selling for a velly nice plice.
stick a TD06 on and you have high 400 bhp :D

or drop a smaller less powerful tubby on to be :ghey: and keep costs down :D

I might have sorted some jap 3 spokes off a r33 as well :D

Iv'e also 99% bought a hiper off big_jon (thanks) just need to pick it up next week.

SO it's just suspension and a engine (minor item...lol)

I'd love to get gary's engine but i workin on a budget of 3kish for suspension and engine so it's a bit out of my price range, in reality im only want about 220 - 250 hp anyways i couldn't give a stuff how fast it goes in a straight line :p

I just really want to get drifting next year as iv'e not had the opertunity to get any practice in yet for some reason my E34 525i daily driver dosn't really cut it ..lol

And PAZ IS BUYING MY 86 ARN'T YOU PAZ ring me dude , i might have to fetch mitto's car on sunday if he gets his arse in gear and phones me ;)

What about a set of KYB AGX's with Apex springs. Would these be any good for drifting? They probably cost new about the same as a secondhand set of Teins.
