I have a micrsnot (un)intllimouse, with the red light under it, no ball:eek: and my laddo has pulled it so much its caused a loose connection. This I feel sure I could fix if I could get THE DAMN THING OPEN:mad: Anyone took one of these to bits before and successfully managed to get it back together. I am thinking of getting my 16lb technical adjuster on it but it prolly wont recover. Any ideas anyone?
Also whenever I have a new window open from links etc its only half the size of the screen and I'm getting p!ssed off having to maximize 'em all the time. Anyone know how to set it to open full screen size?
Cheers

Dunno about the mouse, but to set the size of you IE windows you need to find the icon for it or go to it in the start menu. Right click it and go to properties, then make sure it is set to Run Maximised

Alot of people in one of the gaming communities I use have had problems with MS mice. A large number of them have found that if you call MS tech support and complain that it's stopped working, that they will swap the mouse no questions asked.

Maybe worth a go :)

The intellimouse can be opened by carefully taking the little "feet" off the bottom (4 of them on mine) to revel the screws. Undo these and carefully take the thing apart. I had to do this to cut my cable shorter ads they tend to break just as they ender the body of the mouse through a nasty (poor design) 90 deg bend.

Check the link for a bit more detail :-

In IE6 open a window, maximise it and then close it. Make sure the last one closed is the maximised one and it should save that as the default.

Nice one Voodoo:thumbs: That seems to have got it. Never had this before but since upgrading to XP a couple of weeks ago I am still trying to set this damnable machine up. I had me before which although unstable was easy to use. XP doesnt seem that difficult on the surface but a lot has changed.:indiff:

If you want a fun mouse to repair its got to be the Apple Pro mouse.
No screws No bonding but it stays together, makes you wonder how they build it (Only way in is a hacksaw)

Ours at work go through 2 outside walls and about 50ft causing many 'hilarious' moments.

Ended up taking the damn moose apart last nite and just to get it running it had twisted bare wires, and no cover. Amazing the stoopid fing worked at all after I got all technical with it:eek: :D Went out and bought a new moose today without wires:thumbs: So thats my problems sorted.
Thanks good people.
