Anyone Know what the score is with this tax.
I'm looking at sending a small parcel from the UK to America with Royal mail, and was just wondering if me or the receaver would get collared by this tax.
Cheers:)

Reciever pays 4% I think... I've imported stuff and gotten 0 tax on it.

'cos they can open the parcel.
You'll pay VAT at 17.5% and import duty on that total. Probably another 12%.

Cheers fellas,
End of the day I suppose Joe Bloggs who opens the parcel won't really have a clue what an ajustable actuator is anyway. So £5 declaired value it is then:D
