View Full Version : Import Taxes?
Anyone Know what the score is with this tax.
I'm looking at sending a small parcel from the UK to America with Royal mail, and was just wondering if me or the receaver would get collared by this tax.
Cheers:)
Anyone:confused:
Someone must have sent something to the U.S:confused:

If they dont know whats in it how can they tax you ;)
Its my holiday vid + piccies sending to a freind ... how would they know different.
'cos they can open the parcel.
You'll pay VAT at 17.5% and import duty on that total. Probably another 12%.
Cheers fellas,
End of the day I suppose Joe Bloggs who opens the parcel won't really have a clue what an ajustable actuator is anyway. So £5 declaired value it is then:D
something that small is not likley to get charged tax on.
