gbox easy help needed read!

anyone gotta gearbox out? as i need some measurements etc
for a project

yeah i got a gearbox out but i got no tape measure at home ( you know what us idiot mechanics are like ;) :p :D

cheers chris i was only pullin yer leg:thumbs: but it was true about my mates being mot blokes and car nuts and being clueless unless its ,,in the book,, anyway i ust wanted to know the width at widest point length and lenght to stick hieght that sort of thing

are s12 and s13 gearbox,s different?
will a tc head etc bolt onto a s12 box no trouble?
what is the diffrence in weight and mpg etweeen the tc and sc
engines?
is a small intercooler worth while on a sc or will it just bring on more lag?

the boxes are different , iirc its mainly the stick position

shells are the same but cranks are not ( s12 got a 6 boit fly s13 8 bolt )

not sure bout clutches ( did start digging but give up )

boxes will bolt to either block

not a great dealof difference in weight between tc and sc

fuel economy depends on your right foot ;)

cheers chris so is it the same actual box then ar the stick pos? and is that interchangable?
dont want to b a pain but what box have u got allready out (or were u pulling ,,my,, leg this time lol)and could u give me some measurments when u got time? reason is iv een offered a good s12 lump and s13 car with rattley ends ut i want a complete set up for an escort.what about these 16v n/a motors u got any spec on them? any good? bolt up rwd? on that box?

just been to measure the boxes and realised that i gave one away and the other is on loan

n/a engines would be ca16 de or ca18 ., de dunno bout the block swapping fromm fwd- rwd

il try n get a car on the ramps at my m8s place or ask on the board i expect somebodys got 1 out some where
