since starting my new job and now having to travel to work every day i have come to realise that it is costing me too much in petrol.

£50 in optimax gets me about 280 miles, i am doing that miles roughly every 6-7 days.
its too expensive, was ok when i had my taxi cos i just used that all the time and the beast rarely came out to play.
i've toyed with the idea of a second, cheaper car, but again, cant really afford now to run two cars.

i'm hoping to sell mine for a min of £6500
but am undecided as to what to go for nxt, i'm after something with a little oomph, but economical, i wouldnt really entertain a diesel cos i dont like em, and i dont want a little car if you know what i mean.

i was thinking along the lines of maybe vectra sri/gsi
golf gti
bmw 3 series

dont want it to be too old, and obviously within my budget, any money left over from this budget will go towards getting shot of our lasses saxo for a better, newer little car for her.

what'dya reckon....????

i know that other people have asked this question in the past, but i just cant really decide what to go for, and i may be missing some good motors.

think ive decided,

a celica,
just had a look at a few on autotrader, they're cheap enough, dont want a turbo or anything, gotta think economy now:rant:

a 1.8 or 2.0 would be fine, but gotta be the round headlight type, and a uk one

i know what your saying, but im looking for economy as well, one of my mates has an mr2 import g-limited or whatever it is, the 170bhp one, and it drinks petrol for fun, plus i dont really like them.

and i want something within my budget thats not too old, can get a s/t reg celica 1.8 st/sr, or 2.0gt within my budget
gonna find a buyers guide for them somewhere, any good celica forums where i can find one???????
