Does anyone know what the cheap and nasty non standard looking switch on the kick panel next to the accelerator pedal do on an S14?
I have one and some other S14 I have seen does
It leads into the standard loom but looks like a dealer fitment, not factory
Anmy ideas?

Ah! Thanks!
This one:
I thought the push switch on the drivers side was to disable the ultrasonics that could be added to the alarm as an option.
If you want to lock/arm the car and leave pet/passengers inside (if the option is fitted)
1)press the door frame switch
2)Within 20 second the "Lock" button on the keyfob
3) The LED will stay off for 10 sec then flash every one sec.
All other alarm functions remain unchanged.
Also if you disconnect the battery it says you have to resync the fob with the alarm when it's reconnected by pressing the "lock" button four times within 8 seconds.
So is that a dealer fit option? It looks horrid!
So if I disconnect the battery, I should reconnect it, press the button 4 times and then lock / unlock the car?
Thanks
It's been bugging me for a year
