Can anybody advise me, I'm only reading about half the boost I should be seeing.
Any common areas where a leak could occur?
What boost are you reading then? Wot were you expecting?

Could be a knackered actuator. Also check all the boost pipes for splits, and check there connections. Look round the intercooler, check to see if thats damaged.

Standard boost is only seeing 4 psi and when the bleed valve open 7 psi, where as it should be 8 psi and 14 psi.
Going to have a check round her now.

Check the IC pipes, they've been known to split....

My car suffered from a split intercooler pipe. The symptoms were very rough running as the revs increased and not been able to reach maximum revs. It felt like the car had a serious misfire. Thinking about it the symptoms definitely got worse with time - as the split got bigger? I also recall it was an expensive piece of (Nissan) pipe to replace!

Have you got boost gauges fitted ? Where did you get them fitted and where is the gauge situated ?
Hi.. they're pretty easy to fit yourself. One place people seem to go for (including me) is in place of the ashtray, which pulls out pretty easily. You can route the vacuum pipe behind the centre console. You can get door cards which take gauges in place of the ventilation slots and route the pipe through the gland in the hinge where the cables go.
Cheapo guages start at around 15 quid...not sure if they're less accurate.
