Does anyone have any experience with Blitz's BOV? Any bad idling when installed? Or any other known problems with it? Or good experiences?
Hi, welcome to the site!
Just had a look at your site - not bad, keep up the good stuff m8.
I see your car is stock except for the NUR zorst.
Why do you want a dump valve? If you're running stock boost, you dont really need one.
But, if you must "PSSSSSSSSHT" every time you change gear, then from what I've heard, they are very good.
Dan has one on his S14. Check out his site at: www.puresx.co.uk (http://www.puresx.co.uk)
Sorry to see the dent aswell - OUCH!
I've got a HKS Super Drager on my S13, along with HKS Frount Mount IC and Super Power Flow induction kit.
Infact, the ind. noise sounds a bit like a dump valve when changing gear quickly, running 15 psi boost - the HKS kit gives the most noise, as far as I've seen anyway.
Why not go for an induction kitrather than a dump valve? You'd see more power gains.
Hope this helps
Matt
Sweet S15 on it. I really ought to own one of those.

Thanks for the comments on the site. About the BOV, well it is for the sound that I'm getting it. And I have been thinking about an induction kit, but I don't want to go for the open air filter like Blitz's SUS filter or the HKS pod filter... but more like an induction chamber like ARC makes them. I don't want the engine to be sucking in hot air...

Hmmm my previous entry got eaten up by the pc somehow, here's a recap:
Thanks for your positive comments and for your help. I am planning to get an induction kit, but this will happen in the future not as of yet. A BOV comes on top of my list for now, because it just sounds cool. I know it's not necessary especially with a stock BOV on the SR20DET. But I am just going for the sound of it. I've never heard it in Belgium before, so it would be cool haha.
About the flames... making your engine run "richer" doesn't that produce flames?
Hi,
You can get flames on gear changes due to a load of unburnt fuel getting out of the end of the exhaust, I think the tail pipe has to be up to a pretty high temperature. I think the S14 fuels to about 10:1 on full throttle which should be well rich enough to do the job. Obviously it won't work with a standard baffled exhaust. I like to think mine's doing it. Once the ehxaust is nice and hot, a run through the gears normally gives one or two explosive pops from the back of the car on the gear changes ! I like that http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

You could ofcourse go the whole hog and make a proper flame thrower, you need to put a spark plug in the rear tailpipe, connect that with one of our mini coils packs and wire it in to a switch which will kill the original ignition and send the voltage to the rear, then just flick the switch, bury the throttle and voila 20 ft. flames out back !!!
