Hi ,
I bought a S12 to play with:D
It's quite rusty and the turbo is at its end as well.
But Id like to use it todo some experiments with, therefore this question.
How do you guys change fueling, I mean make it running rich or lean? Foul the engine temp sensor signal or the AFM signal? Chips?
Cheers

There's no chipping of the S12, Foulling the engine temp sensor signal or the AFM signal should both work as will raising the fuel pressure but neither or particularly controllable. This is for UK S12s anyway. The US and Euro S12s were *generally* fitted with lambda sensors feeding the ECU, you may be able to fool the ECU through this route.

Or fit a 5th injector

fse power boost valve from anything - you have to modify the fuel rail but not a major prob

i would use a standard lancia fuel pressure regulator, made by weber, and capable of running up to 500bhp on an integrale. any fuel injected lancia will do, they're all the same. You just have to prize out the solder cap in the top, and there is a 4mm allen key adjuster inside. This will allow you to run upto 5bar of fuel pressure at least!!
If you get one from a delta HF turbo or integrale, they're also 'rising rate', so the fuel pressure differential will be maintained on boost.

It may be worth considering an uprated fuel pump as well (do s13/14 pumps fit?), all the silvias i've had have had worn and noisy pumps, which won't help.

If you're changing the fueling, an Air/Fuel ratio meter may be worth considering so that you can keep track of things.

Thanks a lot guys.

BTW: there is no lambda on my S12.:D
